Completes the CHHSP Diploma Program

Pre-requisite: CHHP™ Diploma Prior to 2006 or Equivalent Prior Learning

Shiatsu is a method of bodywork which allows us to give and receive care, warmth and healing through non-intrusive touch. Shiatsu greatly facilitates the movement towards greater human connection and co-operation in our highly industrialized, technological age.

This training module is designed for those who wish to deepen their knowledge of Oriental Medical Theory and Shiatsu Techniques beyond those taught in the Certified Holistic Health Practitioner™ prior to 2006 or through equivalent Prior Learning.  This completion consists of the Shiatsu Courses #102 and #202 and Oriental Bodywork  #101 & #201. The 100 level Courses are taught Distance Online and the 200 Level courses are taught Onsite for 9 weeks.

Your Instructor:

Lori-Ann MacLeod BA CHHP EBM R.S.T., Registered Shiatsu Therapist, Certified Holistic Health Practitioner™ and Hot Waterstone Shiatsu Practitioner, obtained her Diploma and graduated with honors from Windsong School of Healing Ltd. in Canada. Along with her CHHP™ training, Lori-Ann has further training in Floor and Table Shiatsu, Chair Shiatsu, Hot Waterstone Shiatsu, Reiki, Munay Ki, AcuChi, Ra Sheeba, Guarani Healing, Auriculotherapy, and Animal AcuChi. Lori has her Instructor Diploma IDP through the National Career Colleges Association and has taught for over 20 years. She has successfully run Eastern Arts Therapy Clinic and Aarastyn Holistic Awareness since 2002.

Curriculum of Course Work: 850 hours 26 weeks 

Oriental Bodywork  360 Hours Total:

Acupressure/Table Shiatsu and AcuChi Online Learning~ Total 150 hours 

Western Anatomy Physiology & Pathology for Bodywork, 5 Element and TCM Theory (Creation Control Cycles, 8 Principles of diagnostics, Yin Yang Theory, Zang and Fu Theory, Curious Organs, The Three Treasures, Tongue and Pulse Diagnosis); 

Acupressure Meridian Table and Chair Shiatsu Practical Theory  ~ 106 Hours

Treatment with Acupressure (Shiatsu, Acupressure Jin Shin AcuChi) Oriental Bodywork Meridian Diagnostics Routine Prone and Supine. 12 Meridians and 8 Extraordinary Vessels (Channels, Strange Flows) Jin Shin AcuChi. Zang and Fu Organ Theory with Kyo and Jitsu Hara Diagnosis Ampuku Therapy. 

Contraindications for Pregnancy and Treatment Pathologies 4 Hours

Practitioner Case Studies and Healership Skills 100 hours

  • Students Choose Ten Clients to chart and assess case study and treatment Protocols. Case studies are written in report format and focus on treatment patterns and outcomes to increase professional skills in a learning environment. 

 Namikoshi Floor & Meridian Floor 506 Hours Total:

Floor Shiatsu Shiatsu is a method of bodywork well received by the general public.  It allows practitioners to give and receive care, warmth and health through non-invasive touch.  It is applied with a slow deepening lean-on pressure helping to clear physical, structural and neurological ailments. It is a full body diagnosis and treatment and an excellent tool for offering clients an ongoing wellness package. 

Shiatsu Theory Online Learning ~ Total 176 Hours

 Practical Onsite ~  Total 130 Hours Onsite (includes outtakes and in class practical) 

 Student Clinic Practical ~ Total 100 Hours

Students apply techniques and deepen understanding and delivery of treatment to clients from the public in a professional Clinic Setting.
